Howard Rew
Howard Rew has been a quality assurance professional for over thirty years. He is currently providing quality engineering support to the Deactivation and Decommissioning Project operated by Fluor Hanford in Richland, Washington.
Howard has been a member of the American Society for Quality since 1980 and was certified by the Society as a Quality Engineer in 1981. He has been active in the Columbia Basin Section for many years and has served in several capacities including Treasurer, Secretary, Certification/Recertification Committee Chair, and Audit Committee Chair. In 2004, he was awarded the Section Chair's Award for outstanding service to the Section.
Born and raised in Richland, Howard is a second generation Hanford worker and a proud alumni and fan of the Richland Bombers. Howard is the father of four wonderful children and (at this printing) the grandfather to eight fantastic grandchildren, with two on the way.
In his spare time, Howard enjoys biking, traveling (to see his kids and grandkids), and serving in his community and church.
